No more check engine light

Last week, we finally decided to get our car fixed. It was randomly stalling right after being started, once even while driving and was generally running rough. When slowing down, the rpm of the engine would jump up and down between 600 to 2000 causing the lights to dim. The check engine light has been on since about a week after we bought it last May. We weren’t willing to pour more money into car repair but it was getting worse. $330 later, with a new vaccuum hose and the whole fuel injection system cleaned: the check engine light is off, the car doesn’t stall anymore, there’s a lot more low rpm power and the gas mileage is back to where it was when we got the car (up about 4-5 mpg). I’m excited :) I promise I won’t be writing about cars very often.
