Many of you ask us what our plans are for the near future. We have mentioned that at some point we would like to move down south closer to Jessica's parents so that they could be a part of Kaiya's childhood. Originally we thought we would be moving this fall, but that doesn't seem possible or reasonable. We're praying for God's direction and timing.
For now, I have a good job, we have an incredible small group that became family, we are a part of a great church, we have great friends… So Grand Rapids is home.

Welcome to our Slovak/American family blog. We set it up so that you can be involved in our lives as much as it is possible through the Internet. You are welcome to comment on anything you'd like - you can share parenting advice, a joke or anything else you feel like saying. We have it set up so that you don't have to sign up for an account to be able to post a comment to our postings.

Time will tell how much content we'll be able to put here or how many people will be interested in it. Either way, it's good to have your memories recorded so this is our attempt.

Hey all,

Jessica just called me and told me she's having really strong contractions. So I'm about to get in the car and go to get her. Talk to you later! :)

This blog was created for the purpose of letting all of you, our dear friends, know how's Jessica doing, how's the baby doing but mainly answer the question you ask us the most these days - Have you had your baby yet? :-)

If I'll deem appropriate, I may try to add information to this blog as things develop - through my cell phone - no typing, just voice. Yes, only a true geek would do something like that from the hospital so I guess we'll all know if I'm a true geek within a couple of days.

I ask that you keep us in your prayers as we are anxiously awaiting the birth of our daughter.
