My mom called yesterday to brag tell us all about the wonderful warm weather they are currently experiencing down in South Carolina. She said they were enjoying a beautiful sunny day with temps in the mid to upper 70s. I looked out our front window to see this:
Sigh. With our temps not even reaching 5 degrees Fahrenheit, I could sure use some of that warm South Carolina sunshine. Andrej reminded me to look on the bright side…we only have about two more months of winter left. Sigh.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I would trade places with you! Oh, I just love the snow… I'm jealous of you!! :)

You're right, it's not fair. Those poor souls down south don't get our wonderful winter weather. They'll have to come visit! :)

It doesn't seem fair… until hurricane season, that is. :-D Snow I can deal with. Something that can flatten your house? Not so much…
Two months (give or take) and counting. :-D

Hope the snow will hang around until Babka & Papa can get there at the end of February….I also love snow…I'm just trying to entice you to move my babies to SC.

I enjoyed the snow back in Nov. & Dec., but I am very much ready for Spring. I do envy SC winters, but once summer rolls around I'll take our low humidity mild summers any day.

Jess, Now that we are living on the edge of southern Siberia, I can totally relate! Yesterday the snow and ice were melting, and then last night it started snowing again….I never thought I'd ever say that 30 degrees was warm, but it feels great after -30F!
What are some ideas to deal with the cold?

Leah!!!! I was so excited to see your comment. I've been thinking about you and Randy a lot lately. Let's face it…us South Carolina girls aren't cut out for such cold temps. My only advice is to drink lots of coffee or caj, hunker down and pray for an early spring :-) No really, I think the best way to deal with it is to join it. I'm not very good at this and often send Andrej out with Kaiya instead of going out myself, but from what I've heard from fellow Michiganders is to embrace winter activities like ice skating, sledding, skiing etc. I prefer to stay inside and complain about it so I'm not of much help. Spring has to be around the corner…right??? Email if you get a chance…I'd love to know how things are going for you two!
