Last year, Easter weekend was fairly warm and busy with family time, a trip to the dentist, church, Easter lunch with friends and a trek across the state to the Immigration office. This year, Easter was cold cold cold and very low key. Andrej didn't get Good Friday off this year or the Monday after (one difference in working for a Christian university and for a for-profit business), but we still managed to enjoy each other and time spent with friends just the same. Thirty two weeks and counting! I can't believe we only have eight more weeks until Baby Ciho's due date. I'm not counting on him coming early, or even on time, as Kaiya was eight LONG days over due. However, I am getting anxious and excited to meet the newest member of our family and I hope he doesn't decide to hang out in there as long as his big sis did. My parents recently came up for a visit and along with all the hugs, kisses and gifts they brought for Kaiya they also brought some warm South Carolina sunshine. We had the best weather, which melted our final snow piles and we got our backyard back. The weather change also brought about Kaiya's new favorite phrase, which we hear often from the time she wakes up until she turns in at night, "Side, pay!" which translates to, "Outside, play!" Kaiya had so much fun running, playing, swinging, sliding and hunting Easter eggs in our new-found backyard with Papa and Babka during their short visit. (Read more …)
